It is the intent of the White Pine Historical Railroad Foundation to preserve the historical character of the Nevada Northern Railway facilities and railroad equipment. In January 1992, the Nevada Northern Railway Endowment Fund was established to provide direct financial support from it's members. The fund will be used for the rehabilitation of the railroad complex, as match monies for grants, and for actual construction and restoration resources. The Museum has been designated as a historic district on the National Register.
