These unique Items are individually crafted at The Rail Place from old Nevada Northern rail that is sliced and polished.

 

Desk Sets
Rails are cut either straight or on a slant and include a choice of black or silver pen and attached holder.
 

Lamps
The base is crafted from polished rail. Shade color and style may vary with availability, or may be purchased without a shade.
 
Bookends
Bookends from polished rail are available with or without engraved plates identifying "N.N.Ry." and "1906" for the Nevada Northern Railway and the year operations began.
 


Wind Chimes

Small wind chimes include four slices of rail suspended from three welded railroad spikes, available in black, silver, or gold color.
Large chimes are a combination of copper or steel tubing and rail suspended from welded spikes, available in copper or silver color.
Approximate wind chime hanging lengths are 28 inches.

Ore to Copper
Actual footage of a 1930s film made of the mining activity from the Ruth copper pits to the McGill mill and smelter in the Robinson Mining District, White Pine County, Nevada. A narration has been added to this classic film to explain the operation and some to the workers are identified. Black & White; 30 minutes.
 

 
Ghost Train
Filmed during Nevada Northern Railway Museum's first year of operation (1987), the video begins with the V&T engines at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. Next, head across the state to Ely to catch a ride on the Ghost Train, actually the original passenger train which was taken out of service at the Nevada Northern Railway in 1941. Travel through Robinson Canyon to the site of the Copper Flat shops by Ruth. Skyfire Video; 73 minutes.
 

 
Thunder On The Rails
A 30-minute version of the "Ghost Train" shows a very good representation of both the Nevada State Railroad Museum engines in Carson City and the Nevada Northern Railway Museum in Ely, including the ride aboard the Ghost Train.
