Built by GE in March 1952 as Santa Maria Valley Railroad No. 40. Stored out of service with a broken crankshaft. To NN Ry Museum in May 2000 and subsequently sold in November 2000 to the Colorado, Kansas, and Pacific Railroad. Notice the different lettering and numbering on opposite sides of the cab. Built by GE in August 1950 as Santa Maria Valley Railroad No. 30. Used for switching at the BHP Riepetown mill concentrate loader. To the NN Ry Museum in May 2000 and subsequently sold in November 2000 to the Colorado, Kansas, and Pacific Railroad. She and her sister 70-tonner (above) remain at East Ely as of December 2000 and will probably require shipment to the CK&P on a flat car because of their friction journal bearings. BHP Nevada Railroad SD9s. All were former Southern Pacific engines. They were obtained by the NN Ry Museum in May 2000 from BHP and were subsequently sold in November 2000 to the Colorado, Kansas, and Pacific Railroad. Above
left: BHP No. 201. She was stored out of service and remains in East
