NN No. 40 has just had her fire cleaned on the ash pit track in preparation for the tourist excursion run. The
1910 Baldwin recently underwent a major maintenance project lasting
almost two years. Mr. John Mariani of Ely, the oldest surviving former
employee of the Nevada Northern Railway Company, rededicated her to
the rails in July 2000 for her 90th birthday. |

105 has dropped the excusion train on the Hiline route and is pulling
beyond the turnout ahead. She will runaround on the Lavon siding (on the
left) and then reattach to the cars for the return trip to the East Ely
yards. |

Sunday
morning mine run on the BHP Nevada Railroad. Two SD9's push a string of 15 empty hoppers from the ore yards at East Ely upgrade to the BHP mill at Riepetown. Clockwise from lower left: At tunnel No. 1 and three shots through Robinson Canyon to Keystone. The run is at Lane siding in the photo directly above, followed by three shots approaching Ruth, NV.
